Fish Inn in London

"Absolutely lovely little plaice (that was on purpose ;) ) - really kind staff who rearranged their seating to fit our family of 4 inside, and the food was delicious - best fish and chips we have had for years, possibly ever. Big portions, my 7 year old fussy eater declared the chicken nuggets the nicest she'd had, and asked why our local fish shop didn't serve them. Curry sauce and mushy peas really good size and yum. Really happy we popped in here for lunch on our visit to Colliers Wood. Will absolutely return when back in the area, thank you Fish Inn!"

"Lovely people who work there. Chips were actually like chip shop chips! Cod delicious too... Not too fried. Cheesy chips had a generous portion of cheese on it and the veggie spring roll was so tasty. Would definitely go back and recommend"

"Cod cooked fresh in front of you. Do a decent lunchtime special with chips for £8.50. My Mrs swears by the chips there and she’s somewhat of a chip connoisseur. Staff friendly enough -though a little tough to converse fluently in English. They of course speak much better English than I do their native tongue. Hope to see the place continue to go from strength to strength."

"Having grown up in Aberdeen and then Belfast I am picky about my fish and chips, especially in London. However, this is the best fish and chips I have had after 12 years of searching the capital. The fish is fresh, batter tasty and it travels well. I don't like the skin being left on the fish so they can remove that if you wish. The chips are excellent and not greasy. The chicken burgers are also pretty good."

"Great Local Fish and Chips place for great food and generous portions. Owner showed us the large fresh fish fillets available for the meal and explained the difference in taste and texture of the different fish available. Really friendly and helpful and gave some extra portions of cheesy chips for my kids. The sauces available were great especially the secret sauce. Great find in the Suburbs of London"

"I have ordered here recently several times on Deliveroo. I have to say I think it's the finest fish and chips around, and I've tried most of the other options on deliveroo near me (kennedy's, superfish, vintage fish, fisher's etc.). It's always fried fresh, the batter is crispy and well seasoned on the fish and the cod is always good quality and a good sized portion. I take particular umbrage with the other recent review that criticises the chips - these are the best chip shop chips around, period. Please keep up the good work and I will keep on ordering!"
